Prosecutor's Analysis
Prosecutors described a two-week long crime spree during which Adams and two friends roamed the streets looking for cars they could steal for parts. "They liked hot cars, and when they saw one they carjacked it," Chief Assistant District Attorney Nancy O'Malley said.
Their motive was to steal parts to rebuild a Camaro owned by Adams' girlfriend, who accompanied him on many of his crimes. (Oakland Tribune website, Aug. 14, 2008)
